So I am not a huge fan of animated movies. And what I mean by that is, if you ask me to go, I won't want to but if I do go...I usually end up loving the movie. Yea I know... weird.

Anyway, I recently saw this movie trailer and I must say I will be going. When the trailer involves rapping and Justin Timberlake--say no more, I'll be first in line (and check out that amazing dance choreo!). Not to mention I make a great penquin myself.

I swear I use the word obsession all too frequently. Seriously though...I have obsessive tendencies. But the latest and great obsession is a class called UJAM. Seriously...SO FUN.

I never understood why people liked Zumba. It was so boring, but I understood the attraction to dancing. Well well well....I found my Zumba.

This class is not only fun but it's hilarious, and you get an amazing workout! People come to class dressed in costume--high top nikes, ripped jeans and cut off tops. And to my surprise, lots of men come to the class and get down. I love it.

I have a serious addiction to reading thanks to my Nook. I love it and highly recommend an E-reader. These are the books I've read in 2011:

- The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest

- Heaven is for Real
- The Glass Castle
and currently reading Water for Elephants.

I have loved them all. Most I couldn't put down and looked forward to my reading time.

If you have any recommendations of good read please let me know. I am always searching for the next book.

Where did february go?

I have no clue what happened to the month of February. I am convinced I slept through the whole thing. Really March...I swear it was just Christmas? I feel like I can't remember a single thing about that month.

The winter has been great. Either I became accustomed to Utah weather or we have just had an abnormally warm winter. I swear as a kid I thought the CA winter was freezing, and I certainly don't remember having 68 degree weather in January.

Anyway, 2011 has lived up to the hype. I am really excited for the next few month and have a lot to look forward too....

-Vegas this weekend with Jessie and Dantzel

- March Madness--hopefully the Cougars will get some blessings from above

- Femme Fatal (if you don't know what this is look it up)

- Britney Spears performing in the Castro--Yes I will be there and yes I am camping out.

- April: only the best month ever. Spring, Easter and my Birthday.

-May: Finally a Holiday, the beginning of summer and summer hours at work!! We get half days on Fridays ALL SUMMER!!!!

New Year, New Me.

Let me just say that I could not be happier to say farewell to 2010. It was a big year for me but also one of the hardest. I graduated, moved, struggled to find a job, worked 2 jobs and than quit a job.

If you know me well, you know I love Mondays. I love Mondays for the same reason I love the New Year.

A FRESH START.

I am really looking forward to this new start. And let me say, the start of 2011 was great. I woke up on New Years Day with a whole new perspective on life and ready to get things done. I don't make New Years Resolutions just because I don't need too. I make weekly resolutions to do better on what I didn't do the week before however, for 2011 I do have some things I want to accomplish.

Here is my short list:

- Complete at mini-triathlon.
- Read at least one book a month. (with one week left in January I have already finished 3!)
- Go somewhere tropical.
- Learn a new talent.

Let me just say January has turned out to be a really good month especially since it is my least favorite month. The weather has been AMAZING! Seriously, the past 2 weekends its been like 68+ degrees with not a cloud in the sky.

Real People Stuff

So after I got back from Yellow Stone it was time to find another job. I applied at an airline to work in customer service and got the job. I knew this wasn't the career for me but it paid my bills and I actually had a lot of fun with it.

In September my roommate from college moved to the Bay Area. Her Birthday happened to be a few weeks later and we took a day trip to Napa Valley. This was only my second time going to Napa and the first was only a few weeks prior to her birthday. Napa is beautiful with lots of things to do for those of us who don't drink.

We explored the grounds of beautiful vineyards, went olive oil tasting, ate at a great restaurant, devoured yummy pastries, tried some cheese and shopped. We had a great day full of adventure.

October flew by with lots of work and one of my favorite Holidays.

November started with a great little vacation to San Diego and Newport Beach. I was able to spend time with my brothers family in San Diego and also spend a few days with my friend Chantel in Newport Beach. She is a photographer so I offered to be her muse and sadly we didn't take any pictures together!

A few days after I returned from my trip I started another job in addition to working at the airport. It is a full time job in online retail (dot com). I don't want to say which retail store I work for in order to protect my identity. But lets just say its one of the biggest department stores in America and they put on a pretty big parade around the Holidays. I work in the merchandising department under jewelry and watches. I can't say I have any complaints.

I also had the pleasure to go with a bunch of friends to see Grease at the Castro Theatre. Not on broadway or anything but the sin-a-long version. Pure Bliss. Just imagine this: Castro district, goodie bags, costumes and friends. (need I say more)

The month of November also included reading all 3 of the Hunger Game books. Loved, Loved Loved them! Really fun, easy read. By the way...I am currently reading "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and its really good as well.

December came with a big decision on my mind. Working two jobs was killing me. I was working 7 days a week and had no time to do anything other than sleep, eat and work. Once I found out I was not going to be able to be with my family for Christmas I about died. Not to mention that I really didn't need my airline job since that was part time and I had a full time job as well. So as of 2 weeks ago I quit and am now just working for one company. I can't say I've looked back once.

I was able to go home and spend a lot of time with my family. I loved it and miss them so much!!!!

Playing Catch Up

Where to begin. It's been forever. These past 5 months or so have been crazy. Busier than I have ever been and I am still not sure how I got through it. To some everything up...I have decided that college doesn't teach you anything about post-grad life. They drop you off on the corner and let you go. Not to mention it is extremely rude of our education system to give us so much time off, when in real world you're lucky to get 2 weeks vacation. But I can say-- I think I have successfully made it up the big hills and now on a good course.

Lets go back in time real quick and play catch-up. My favorite thing this summer was my family trip to Yellowstone. Let me tell you... I was not to thrilled to spend my vacation at a national park or in the wilderness for that matter. BUT I LOVED IT. Actually, I am obsessed with Yellowstone. We stayed in Island Park on IP Bill's. YellowStone National Park is beautiful. I felt like a true American after traveling there and want to go back.

We had a Western Themed Birthday Party for Michelle, Jaxon, Mason and Kate.

We spent one day in Yellow Stone National Park.

We went river rafting, got in many water fights, played on a rope swing and enjoyed the nature around us.

We spent a day on the lake soaking in the sun and jet skiing. And we saw lots of animals around our cabin, in the water and of course, in the national park. We followed the moose in the picture around IP Bills until we felt we should stop due to our safety.

I am obsessed with the TV show Sister Wives. Seriously...so intrigued by this illegal, and gross lifestyle. I can't stop watching it. They are so normal yet live a not- so- normal life. I must admit I am a little disappointed the season finale was last night.

Wow. August first. I can't believe how fast this summer is going. Yes, I am still unemployed. But some how I have managed to fill my time with just enough work and just enough play to make this the best summer. I'll start from the beginning.

JUNE

During the first little bit of June I worked a few hours each week at Nordies.

I hung out with some of my favorite girls.

I went to some A's games.

I went to Marine World Africa USA ((now)) known as Animal Kingdom.

I went to the premiere of Eclipse.

I tried to improve my bowling game.

JULY

StayCation, StayCation & StayCation.

I was house sitting for most of July and decided to take full advantage of my work. I created my own mini-vacation and called it StayCation. It was really needed considering the following 2 weeks were crazy! TRANSLATION: Nordies Anniversary Sale.

I went to Island Park, Idaho and Yellowstone with the family.

I'm a blog stalker. I think I creep my favorite blogs a few times a week if not more. Sometimes I even get mad at my friends who don't update their blog as frequently as I would like them too.

Now here I am blogging for the first time in a long while. And I really have no excuse.

Anyway, things have been busy...well kind of. I am still unemployed but I have managed to keep myself busy. I have spent a lot of time with old friends and have made quite a few new friends as well.

This what my month has looked like:

*** Working a few hours each week @ Nordstrom.

*** Doing some (not quite babysitting) but I'm not sure what else to call it. Carpool mom I guess?

*** Hiking Mt. Diablo, going to the gym.

*** Attending many church activities. Gave a talk in church.

*** Lots of playing with friends!!!!!

*** Looking for jobs, interviewing & interviewing with temp agencies.

*** Dinner in San Francisco, Bon Fire in Santa Cruz, Luau in Walnut Creek.

I am so glad to be back in California. I was telling one of my friends that finally after 5 years, I learned to love Utah. He replied with, " That's called acceptance." He was sure right. As much as I miss my family, I know this is where I am happy.

NOW I JUST NEED A JOB!

So a few weeks ago I was babysitting for my sister-in-law and she introduced me to P90X. You might have seen the never ending infomercials on TV. Well P90X is exactly what it says. It is so hard and different everyday. Seriously. Everyday I did it I was sore. Well she got me hooked. Now I am doing it and I officially started on Monday. Only 88 more days to go. ...I even go my mom to do it.

Where does the time go? March just got here.

April is Birthday month though.

We just got back from Scottsdale, AZ. We had some much needed time in the sun and lots of baseball.

We took a few trips to Sprinkles Cupcakes. The chocolate marshmallow is AMAZING!

We went to the Mesa Temple Easter pageant. We were so glad that we were able to attend this event.

My Nephew J.J. was able to come down for a few days. He loved all of the attention he was getting from Grandpa.

Ughh. This weather. Seriously. I go to the gym Saturday at 9am with beautiful sunny skies and come out at 10am to snow. I'm ready for great weather and spring clothes.

We have a new addition in the Morley family. My sister Amy gave birth to a beautiful little girl a few weeks ago. This is her fourth child.

Her name is Jessica Helen Bybee.

My internship ended and ended with a bang. I woke up Friday morning depressed and wanting to be back up on the hill.

Now I am job searching and getting ready for my favorite time of year. Baseball season. I will be making my way to Arizona for Spring Training.

I have been decorating my room this way, and have been on the search for really cool pieces. I just found these postcards from the early 1900's, they even have the original 1cent stamp, and letter written on it. I am not sure what I am going to do with them yet, but I'll post the end result.

Last fall, one of my final assignments for my PR case studies class was to create a campaign showing the importance of the 2010 Census and calling to action the students of UVU. This was not only an assignment, but a competition between my classmates and other PR programs in the country. Because I graduated I am not there to participate in this campaign, but I think they have done a really great job. They made this great video. Sunday Night I started feeling like I was getting sick. I popped a few zicam.

Monday I woke up and had a sore throat and felt fatigue--I thought it was the flu.

Tuesday went to work and felt like someone took a razor blade to my throat.

Wednesday I started feeling better (probably because of the meds, but was light headed, still had a sore throat, and had a fever. Decided to get a doctors appointment.

Thursday I felt okay all day--again I was heavily medicated, went to the doctor and was tested

I start my internship Monday. I am a little nervous & really excited. Not nervous for the work, but the hectic schedule--unknown.

I bought this lovely camera called the Holga. It's 100% plastic.

It SUPER windy right now in Provo. I am loving the sound of it.

When are all the good shows going to start again? I need some Glee & GG in my life.

I've been sewing a lot lately. I hate using patterns & that can be a problem.

I got back to the gym. It was really necessary...no more sugar, fried food or eating late for me.

I need to move. I need to be in CA. Utah is trying to suck me in, but I need out.

Thank goodness for Massachusetts!

I cut my hair short again. I love it!

i think long and hard about what my resolutions will be for the upcoming year.

My criteria is...it must be something that isn't too cliche.

i.e lose weight

and it must be something useful & attainable.

1. surround myself with positive people- i don't need any glass half empty type of people in my life.

2. become a morning person. not that i am in a bad mood..i just can't get up. i can't remember the last time i was able to get up the first time my alarm went off. it's a serious problem.

3. learn a new skill. i am not sure what that skill is yet. i am thinking somewhere along the lines of painting, piano etc. any ideas?

It's Sunday. My official last Sunday living in Provo. I never ever thought I would be sad. Ever. But I am. I might have complained for the last 4.5 years that I hated Utah. The truth is, I really didn't, I just didn't want to embrace it. I always had great friends, roommates and I was always having fun. I realize now that life will never be the same. I will never be in an area where people are my same age, single, and have the same values again. College life really was the good years. Where I could skip school to drive up to Park City, or just to lay around the apartment with my roommates and have no consequence. I am going to miss this.

However, I am more homesick than ever. You would think that after being away from home for this long, I wouldn't get this way, but I am. The holidays make me crave the Bay Area. I just want to be in Pleasanton running into long-time friends at the grocery store, the mall, church, and even just walking through the neighborhood. If you're from there you know what I mean. I miss going to church and seeing my old leaders, and seeing my friends I grew up with. Going to my parents home in Kaysville feels...blah. I don't see anyone I know, and I have no memories of this place. I know...pity party for me!

But have I updated you on career life? I can't remember.

I got an internship at the state capital while they are in session for 7 weeks. I am really excited to learn more about the government and decide if this is something I would like to pursue.

After the internship, which ends in March I still really want to move. This is the perfect time to experience something new. If I am going to start a new life it might as well be out-of-state. My #1 location is LA. It's still on the west coast, warm, and somewhere new. I wouldn't hate NYC either. My #3 choice is the Bay Area. I love it there, but like I said before, it's a good time to try something new.

..wait did I mention I am a college GRAD? Crazy, right?

...remember the post a while back about my roommate Erica? Anyway, She was in Noteworthy and last year directed them so naturally I became a huge fan.

Noteworthy was cast in NBC's "The Sing-Off." The show didn't disappoint until now, when Noteworthy got kicked off a little too early, in my opinion.

Yes, I am a little biased...but they were definitely better then some of the groups still left.

Ohhh Well...I'm sure great things will come of it anyway!

#1 Re-Issue his first apology---although I LOVED the line, "Personal Sins should not require a press release." I think it made him seem insincere, especially now that his mistress count is still on the rise.

Today is ((World Aids Day )). Having spent sometime in Africa, I have seen the affects of this disease first hand. It was my first day in Zambia when we went into a compound and visited families struggling with this disease. We sat with a woman who had 2 children and one of them being an infant. Her husband just left her for another woman. She had no money and was trying to feed her family. On top of this she had aids and couldn't breast feed her baby without passing it on. She gave her baby watered down nshima (potato like consistency, with no flavor) but the baby wasn't drinking it. The people there struggle with this everyday. Kids are orphaned because of it. Join the fight. -

I feel like I am always saying this. I have no idea what I am doing come January 1, 2010. I graduate in about 6 weeks...eek. It was only 6 months ago, when I had no idea what I was doing for summer. This drives me absolutely crazy! I am a planner. When I tell people I am graduating they always ask what my plan is. This question is almost as bad as the, "Are you dating anyone question."

I know everything will work out just fine. Maybe not how I imagined it, but I'll take it.

After this semester I am moving in with my parents. Besides the fact the I don't know anyone down there, I am actually okay with this. I look forward to always having food, a queen size bed, parking etc.

When I first saw these shoes, I thought the idea was great. I did not think the shoes were great. About 2 1/2 months ago I was in a bind and needed closed toe shoes when I was out of town. I quickly went to Nordstrom hoping I would find something that wasn't too expensive since I didn't really need the shoes. I tried on a pair of Tom's shoes and Converse. I was shocked to find that I loved both pairs. I surprised myself and went with the Tom's.

Reason:

#1 They are SOO comfortable.!! Converse still give me blisters.

#2 For every shoe purchased Tom's gives a pair to a child in need.

#3 I already have a pair of converse.

I am so happy with my purchase. I wear them with everything..jeans, dresses, sweats etc. I definitely recommend them and of course, it's for a good cause.

So I have attempted two maybe three posts in the last months. They are good ones too, but blogger is making me mad. It is not allowing my to post my pictures the way I want. So after a few times trying I gave up. I'll keep working on it.

Anyway...remember those amazing Nordstrom cookies I discovered over the summer, I was obsessed with???

Well I decided to try and make them. I took my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and adapted it to make a lemon, coconut and white chocolate cookie. Here is the recipe:

4 1/2 C flour

2 tsp. baking soda

2 C butter

1 1/2 C packed brown sugar

1/2 C sugar

1 pkg. lemon instant pudding

4 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla ext.

4 cups white chocolate chips

1/2 C coconut

Cook 350 until golden 10ish mins.

mix: flour and baking soda and set aside

cream: butter, sugar, pudding, then mix in eggs and the vanilla.

..add in flour mixture.

finally, add the white choc. chips and coconut.

ENJOY! They have already received great reviews from friends.

No....I am not prego. But there is a new addition to my family.

Meet Ginger.

My roommate and I were walking in our parking garage and we heard a meow. We thought this was odd considering we live in an apartment where animals aren't allowed. We see a little kitten, all dirty and searching for food. So we did what anyone with a heart would do. Keep it!

At first we thought it was a girl and named her Ginger...after doing some research we realized this girl was really a boy. So far we have kept the name Ginger, but it's currently being debated. He is the best kitten. Fun, loving and potty trained.

He can't be more than 2 months old and he is so well behaved. We aren't sure how long we will keep him. I guess until our landlord finds out or until we are all miserable from being allergic.

So if you know anyone missing a kitten or you want to adopt him from us..let me know.

I am not really sure where to begin. This has been the craziest couple of weeks everr. I think I left you all at Wicked. It was amazing to say the least. I have always loved musicals, but this was my first Broadway. I am hooked. It makes you want to be part of the story. The Orpheum Theater in SF is beautiful. My best friend Robin and I went to dinner before hand and then to show. This was a start of me attending many more Broadway shows.

I finished work. Wahoo. I was so glad to be done, but really made some great friends while I was there. I will also miss living with the Barlow family and having Tyler and Michelle being so close.

I drove back to Utah with my Dad and immediately started to repack again. So annoying. I had a job/internship interview and needed to meet with my counselor. Heres the news:

- I got the internship! I work a local advertising and PR firm...perfect I know!

- According to my advisor I can graduate in December!!! I am still scared something will go wrong or a mistake was made...but I can see the light! But right now its really bright and I am scared.

Then because of my hard-work and no vaca summer I decided to go on vacation. My roommate Jessie and I flew to LA for a long weekend. We had so much eatting, going to the beach, seeing friends and seeing the area. We stayed with one of my friends from High school and it was great seeing her and catching up. It was also by chance, the same weekend my friend was getting married, so we made a short appearance at the reception.

WHile I was in LA my Grandma Fitzgerald passed away. She lived a great, long, life. She was healthy most of her life until basically the week she passed. She taught me to love and was a great example of kindness. She will be missed. However, it was the first and probably last time all 10 children, 36 grandchildren and 40+ great grandchildren were altogether. It was great to see everyone and wish we would have been closer.

..then I moved into my new apartment in Provo. So far I really like it. I love my roommates. And it seems like my ward is in the running for being one of the best.

With work and school, life has been crazy. It feels so out of control. I have been to a few concerts including a Pink Floyd cover band and Boys II men. I have been eatting quite well, probably too well. And have been anxiously waiting for the season premieres of TV shows.

Life is good, kind of sad it is going by so quickly.

So I wish I had some really juicy gossip or exciting news, but I don't. I haven't even taken any pictures lately..SAD. But good news...this will all change shortly. I have 6 DAYS of work left...wahoo!! For the first time ever I am really excited to go back to Provo.Not because I hate it here...cause I don't, but because I don't have to work!! The fun will all begin next Wednesday, when my best friend Robin and I get to go see WICKED! I am so excited. I have never been to a REAL Broadway show. Then Friday (my last day of work) Art (Dad) comes to town. That night we will go to the A's game... I know, shocking. But even if they are horrible, I love them. Especially when I go with my Dad. Sometime that weekend we will start our drive back to the Happy Valley. That's not the exciting part. Come Thursday my roommate and I will fly to LA for a mini vaca before we start school again and for me my last semester. You have no idea how exciting this is. Not only have I not had a vacation, but I get a social life and a weekend, unheard of in retail. LA is one of my favorite places, hopefully one day I can call it home. But I look forward to lots of eating, shopping and beaching.

Meanwhile, here are some "oh so important" things on my mind

-SYTYCD- Couldn't be more excited about the winner.

-Obama- We would have been better off with Hilary.

-Everytime I see a commercial for 'Glee' I get butterflies in my stomach as if I was in love.

-I also can't wait for Gossip Girl

-Nsync should have a reunion tour soon. Seriously. Or JT needs to release a new album.

- My obsession with magazines is getting worse.

- Gold, Gold, Gold....the new black, pink, red, brown--so amazing.

Yes, the King of Pop has passed away. It is sad, very sad. Sad for his 3 kids and it's sad that he was so young. But I find it very interesting how our society has given this event so much attention the past few days. He was a great musician, dancer and performer. I would have been first in line for a Jackson 5 reunion concert. But friends...lets me honest. What has Michael Jackson contributed to society or to our lives in the past 10 or so years? He has released a few greatest hits albums..no big deal. He has been photographed holding his child over a balcony. He has been photographed with his children wearing weird masks. He has gone into Crazy debt. He has been accused of being a child molester. And now probably passed away from abusing prescription drugs. I guess it's great we can remember someone for their positive contributions, but lets not forget the actual heroes and significant people in this world that are not getting any media attention. There are soldiers dying fighting for our safety and great issues currently facing our country. Michael Jackson hasn't done anything worth talking about in a long time. He was amazing and has been missed for years now.

Sorry if you thought this was insensitive. I am not saying his passing isn't sad, but I think our focus should be directed elsewhere.

...But he will never be forgotten!!

Life in retail isn't as glamorous as it may seem. I love talking with customers and helping them out. I love being surrounding by amazing clothes and I love my company. They are great to work for. On that note I am not sure retail is for me. It is hard work. Bad hours. Busy weekends. And no social life. Work has consumed my life. My day offs have been great. I have spent them hanging out with friends, catching up with old friends, watching some greats shows and shopping, shopping shopping. But don't get too worried I am saving my pay checks! Oh wait...and of course, I have been spending sometime at the ball park. Last week I spent my days off with the family I use to work for. I loved hanging out with them. Tomorrow I have another day off and I hope to spend it with my best friend Robin who just got home from school. I also hope to get in some retail therapy at Jcrew!! I have a made a todo' list for the summer:

-Go see Wicked in SF

-Revisit my childhood by going to the water slides

-Go to a place in the Bay I have never been

-Go to the beach at least once

-Sew something

-Read a good book series (any suggestions?)

Since Highschool I have been begging my parents for a dog. My Mom always told me that when I graduate college I could have one. I am not sure if she was saying that figuring in 5 or more years I would be over this dog phase or if she was serious. Either way for the past 5 plus years I have been waiting for the day to get this dog. This day should be here in December and I am still not over the phase. Until then this little pup Chloe will have to do the trick.

to be honest, i am not a popcorn fan. I havent really ever loved it. well now i do. i started making it the real way. you know with seeds and oil. none of this microwave stuff. verdict: I LOVE IT! so fresh, and simple. doesnt feel greasy or taste to salty.

-pomegranate limeade. so so good. odwalla knows how to make a good juice.

- vanilla, cinnamon roasted almonds. um...obsessed. thank you Safeway for this great treat.

-sugar substitutes. since i went off sugar i started eating sugar free goods. i read up on the controversy on these substitutes. dont worry people....its all hype, nothing has be proven unsafe.

----and yes i am intentionally not capitalizing or using punctuation. its kind of fun!

Recession Shopping

I have to admit...I am not very good at shopping sales (only the Nordstrom anniversary sale for me), or even bargain shopping. I hate going through racks and rounders to find that perfect item for that great price. However, since I do work in retail I have discovered a few tricks that maybe of some use for those of you trying to find some great deals.

1. Become BFF's (best friends forever) with the sales associates. SERIOUSLY!!!!

They love any chance they can get to get you back into the store. They are more than willing to give you a call when your favorite item goes on sale or they get a new item in. Let them know you would love a call when your favorite skirt gets marked down. This happens a lot with stores that are based on commission or stores that value customer service.

2. Do your research.

Read the catalog and shop online to see what is on sale. When you go into the store ask them when they get new shipments and when they do their markdowns. This is huge. You will be able to get first pick of the selection. It is also useful to know the stores return policy on sale items.

3. Go in the night before the sale. Shh...this is a big secret.

When many stores are about to have clearance sales they generally start putting out the merchandise the day/evening before the sale begins. This is because there is too much merchandise to put out the night or morning of the sale. And yes they will sell it to you for the sale price.

4. Ask.

Sometimes all it takes is asking the sales associates what is going on sale. Depending on the store they might even bring you to the back to see the items.

5. Know what you are looking for.

I have been in California about 5 days. Let me tell you...it seems longer than that. I got in on Monday night and started working Tuesday morning. Today, I had my first off day. Let me tell you...it is one WARM day. Or maybe I should say Hot, 98 to be exact.. It has been so nice to relax. I am normally exhausted after work and don't want to do anything. I am currently watching the A's game and wishing they would win. Or atleast play well. They come in town this upcoming week and I hope I can make it out to a game.

Anyway, I am getting my haircut on Monday. I haven't cut it in 3 1/2 months! It is boring I need something new. Luckily, I have Jennie, my hairstylist to the rescue. She isn't afraid to do anything so it should be interesting.

Since school got out I have basically taken a break from basically everything. And I am not gonna lie, it has been nice. My typical days start around 9:30 am and I normally head to the gym. I come home, shower and go to lunch with friends. Sometimes the lunch is more like a movie or catching up on TV shows I am behind on. Last Monday I decided to take job with Nordstrom for the summer. So I will be moving back to the Bay Area. Although, I am a little disappointed that I was not able to find something in LA or NY, I love working at Nordstrom and can't wait to see my friends back there. I am also looking forward to A's games!! Wahoo

I went to The Britney concert....it was AMAZING!

First of... I am obsessed with these candles. I have been for a while now. If you want a candle that has the best frangrance and fills the house this is it!

Last night I went to a party at a friends house and I found a box of these. Seriously, I never thought I would want a pair of these so badly. I am currently searching the internet for the cheapest pair... they are amazing.

I found the best sweatshirt ever. I found it actually about 6 months ago, but I am telling you I wear it on a daily basis. Here is why. It is super comfortable, light weight, goes with everything and really cute. I wear it to the gym, I wear it around the house when it is cold, but don't want to wear a huge jacket, I wear it with jeans to make a cute outfit.

Lastly, It's finals. I am so excited for school to be over. Senioritis is really getting to me. I still don't know what I am doing, but don't worry, you'll all be the first to know!

Biggest Loser

My family started a "Biggest Loser" competition on Monday. I am really excited to challenge myself to get fit and be disciplined over the next 6 weeks. Here is our point system for anyone interested is doing their own competition:

**Everyday you can get a point for doing the following

1. 7+ hours of sleep
2. Drinking 64oz. of water
3. Eating 5 fruits and veggies, combined
4. 30 min of exercise i.e. 1 hr = 2pts etc.*
5. No white refined sugar
6. Not eating after dinner
7. No fried food
8. Weight loss in pounds or inches or maintain goals *-will be awarded at the end of the 6 weeks

The winner in our family gets $$$

Boys and Girls Club of Utah County

When I worked at Nordstrom last summer, all of the ladies were raving about this deodorant. I didn't get it, deodorant has always seemed to be the same. But that was until I saw the light. I was converted the first time I tried it. It smells amazing, it keeps me dry, it lasts forever and it doesn't break. And this infamous deodorant I am talking about is Donna Karen's Cashmere mist. Seriously, since September I have gone through two. And by that I mean, I still have over half of the 2nd one!

But seriously....Amazing!

Better than Botox

...Not that I would know because I have never had Botox. But the thought of a needle going into my face and not being able to move certain parts of my face does not sound good. My roommate bought this (Strivectin) at Costco a few months ago. I can't remember the price, but it was over $100 for 2 of them. And there is still half or more left in the first bottle. She uses it frequently and I use it occasionally and we both have noticed a difference. This isn't a placebo difference either. My skin is tighter, the wrinkles/grin lines are gone and I have a nice glow.

So if you feel like you need (not that I felt like I needed one) nip/tuck or just want to prevent the wrinkles in the future..You should buy this. Cheaper than anything else you can do and works better than anything you can buy at the grocery store.

I am not weight obsessive, a healthy nut or anything like that, but I got this new I-phone application that I love. Basically, you can put your current weight, what weight you want to be at and it will tell you the amount of calories you need to consume to get there. I am not trying to lose weight, but I think it is great to be aware of what we eat. It has the calories for most foods and even restaurants! You can even put in your daily exercise and it will calculate it from that. I normally just make a mental note of what I have ate and guess about how many calories I have consumed that day. Now, this does it all for me! YAY.

Since I have lived in this dry climate, I have woken up daily feeling like I had a cold. My nose was so dry. So I decided to sleep with this little friend.

It's a humidifier. A Miracle worker I swear. I also think it is giving me better skin.

So I highly recommend that for all of you who live in this dry climate to get one...you're life will be forever changed.

If you find a recipe with over 1000+ (of course it can be less than 1000 too) reviews you know it must be good.

My chocolate chip cookie recipe is from there and I love it! It has a special ingredient....vanilla pudding, last time I made these I accidentally used banana creme. They were still really good, but now I am thinking it might be interesting to try other flavors of pudding.

I also just heard from a friend that she believes hand mixing also makes cookies better, something about letting more air in and not smashing the ingredients. Hmmm...it's worth a try. She might be on to something. Not that this has anything to do with cookies, but they tell you in the fragrance world that rubbing your wrist together will destroy the scent....coincidence?

I decided a few weeks ago that I needed to stop being so negative about President Obama.

I was trying to see the positive things he was accomplishing, but it's a little difficult when our President hasn't done anything positive!!!!!!!

I get our country is in a horrible sitsuation, but I also believe the steps he is taking are in the wrong direction.

...seriously, this is scary!

***Let's hope for something positive in the future.

I had one of these today....

I have said it before and I will say it again. They are good, I will partake in the future, and I wouldn't mind having one nearby. I don't think they live up to the hype and I think the frosting is what makes them good. Like I said they are really good, but not the best cupcake I have had.

Did you watch tonight? I am not sure what I think. I am not in love with anyone yet. Well...maybe Ryan Seacrest. I think they need to kick off Paula! She is so annoying and always seems sedated. As mean as this may sound, I don't think the blind guy is that great either and (this may be a little harsh) I think he might be pulling the pity vote?!Hopefully these season gets better.......
